Discover Steyr

Steyr grew around the Styraburg, first recorded in 980, at the point where the river Steyr flows into the Enns. Iron made the town rich, and its old centre still shows it: the long Stadtplatz with its Gothic and Baroque houses, the castle above the confluence and the old quarter of Steyrdorf across the river.
