Steyrtalbahn: steam into the Steyr valley
The Steyrtalbahn is a narrow-gauge railway (760 mm) whose first section opened on 20 August 1889. Since 1985 the ÖGEG has run it as a museum railway. Steam trains cover the 17 km or so from Steyr to Grünburg in about an hour, in summer, in autumn and during Advent.
